Passive Voice (Kalimat Pasif)

            Kalimat pasif adalah kalimat yang subyeknya dikenai pekerjaan. Obyek kalimat aktif menjdi subyek kalimat pasif, dan subyek kalimat aktif menjadi obyek kalimat pasif.

Rumus : To be + verb3

Contoh:

Aktif : She sings a song

Pasif : A song is sung by her

Perubahan dari kalimat aktif menjadi klimat pasif bisa kita lihat dalam uraiaan berikut :

                              1.            Simple Present Tense

Rumus : Subject + tobe + verb3

Aktif : Father gives me money

Pasif : Money is given by father

                              2.            Present Continuous Tense

Rumus : Subject + tobe + being + verb3

Aktif : Vania is eating an apple now

Pasif : An apple is being eaten by Vania now

                              3.            Simple Past Tense

Rumus : Subject + to be (was,were) + verb3

Aktif : He bought a book yesterday

Pasif ; A book was bought by him yesterday

                              4.            Past Continuous Tense

Rumus : Subject + to be (was,were) + being + verb3

Aktif : I was drinking ice

Pasif : Ice was being drunk by me

                              5.            Simple Future Tense ;

Rumus : Subject + shall/will + be + verb3

Aktif : They will buy a new car tomorrow

Pasif ; A new car will be bought by them tomorrow

                              6.            Past Future Tense :

Rumus : Subject + should/would + be + verb3

Aktif : He would visit museum last week

Pasif : Museum would be visited by him last week

                              7.            Present Perfect Tense :

Rumus : subject + have/has + been + verb3

Aktif : I have taken that book

Pasif : That book has been taken by me

                              8.            Past Perfect Tense

Rumus : Subject + had + been + verb3

Aktif : I had closed the door last night

Pasif : The door had been closed by me  last night
